VI Peel

Consultations offered at our three convenient locations in Toledo OH, Oregon OH and Taylor MI

VI Peel is considered the next generation of facial peels. Offering aggressive results with a gentle approach, the VI Peel treatment goes beyond the typical peel, which just burns off the top layer of skin.

The VI Peel tackles skin problems at the cellular level, offering effective long-term skin repair. The best part? The VI Peel treatments are virtually painless, require no preparation or downtime, and are safe and effective for all skin types.

Is a VI Peel Treatment Right for Me?

VI Peel is used to maintain healthy skin, as well as correct damaged skin. A series of VI Peel treatments will build collagen and elastin, which tightens the skin while also correcting the signs of aging. Suitable for both teenage and adult skin and all skin tones, the VI Peel™ can do the following:

  • Minimize enlarged pores
  • Eliminate teenage and adult acne and acne scars
  • Repair sun damaged skin of the face, neck, chest, hands, and back
  • Reduce fine lines and wrinkles
  • Diminish sun spots and melasma
  • Create a more even skin tone

Will I Peel After a VI Peel Treatment?

VI Peel™ is painless and can be done in our doctor’s office by a licensed aesthetician in less than 30 minutes. Immediately following your peel, you may appear slightly pink or mildly tanned. Most people do not appear to have had a peel at all, with the skin looking slightly tighter on days one and two. Usually on day three, a light or “fluffy” peel begins starting around the mouth and then continues through day four. By day six or seven the peeling has subsided. Peeling can be almost undetectable with the use of the VI Derm™ daily moisturizer. Talk to your skin care specialist about your current skin care routine. Patients who use products such as Retin-A may see more visible peeling than others.

How Many Treatments Are Needed?

The number of treatments needed can be determined during your consultation. As part of a normal skin care routine, we recommend a VI Peel treatment every three to four months. For correcting problematic skin, you may begin with a treatment every two to four weeks initially. Our advanced technicians will help you develop a treatment plan that is right for you.

Is There Any Recovery Time Involved After a VI Peel?

There is no downtime after VI Peel treatments. You can resume your normal daily activities immediately, although excessive sweating should be avoided for the first several days. You can wear makeup as soon as 2-3 hours after treatment. We usually recommend our patients avoid exposing the treated skin to the sun for several days.
