Ultherapy Treatment Experience

An Ultherapy treatment session is performed in the comfort of our state-of-the-art office while you are awake and resting comfortably. Typically, patients are in a seated, upright position. The session can take as little as 60 minutes and afterward, you are back on your feet with no need for downtime. 

Ultherapy works through the use of sound waves. Your doctor will direct sound waves deep into the skin, targeting the same tissues that are addressed in surgery. In this way, the underlying tissue is lifted and tightened without cutting the surface of the skin.

The Ultherapy treatment begins by marking the treatment area in sections to map out the treatment course. The handheld Ultherapy treatment head is brought close to the skin and held for a few moments as ultrasound beams are pulsed into the skin. The pulse lasts only moments and then the treatment head is moved to another area along a pattern.

Recovery and Results

As soon as the session is complete, the patient is able to return to their normal, daily activities. A warm sensation on the skin is a common experience. Some patients may experience prolonged redness, but it should dissipate within a few hours. 

The improvements in your skin become more obvious over time, taking about a month to become obvious. We recommend taking before and after photos for comparison as the results are significant but subtle.
